Captain Sandy explains why she’s so proud of her season 6 crew
Captain Sandy Yawn recently said she takes great pride in the quality of her Under the Mediterranean Bridge the team has adhered to coronavirus (Covid-19) protocols, sharing that filming during a global pandemic has been a game-changer.

“This trip is completely different because we filmed during a Covid pandemic,” she explained on New York Live TV. “And that made it difficult. I attribute the success to the production team. And also when you have people who just follow the rules and that’s what we did. And I’m proud that the team did that because hey, there are a lot of young people who don’t get it.
“But at the same time, they got it,” Yawn said of her crew. “Because they were there to do a job and I was grateful for that. We had no resistance when it came to following the rules to deal with the pandemic. “

Yawn hinted at a “different” season during the Bravo Under the bridge YouTube captains special. “A completely different season,” she teased about what viewers might anticipate this season. “I think viewers will really like what we have. A great crew. A diverse team and I’m really excited to be a part of it. So for me it was such a wonderful experience. It was truly amazing.

Beyond the filming during the Covid, Under the Mediterranean Bridge Season 6 includes two black yachts for the first time. Mzi “Zee” Dempers works on the bridge and Lexi Wilson is the second stew making this the most diverse cast in the history of the series.
‘Below Deck Mediterranean’ is second ‘Below Deck’ series to shoot during Covid
Under the bridge Season 8 was the last series in the franchise to achieve an almost Covid-free season. Cameras have captured the crew set to cut the season short as Covid-19 has been declared a global pandemic. But the cameras did not stay in place for long. Sailing yacht under the bridge Season 2 was filmed during the summer of 2020 during the pandemic.
Executive producer Jill Goslicky called the season a “miracle” during a Reddit AMA. “We filmed this Sailing Yacht season in August 2020,” she shared. “In the heart of the pandemic. It was really scary, and there was a lot of uncertainty surrounding whether we would even be able to do it this season. “
“I continue to call this season the ‘Miracle Season’ because I can’t believe we made it,” she continued. “COVID has changed almost everything in the way we shoot the series, with safety being the top priority. And I still marvel that our production team bravely went out there and pulled it off. I will always be in awe of them for it.
