Barcelona’s Hostelco catering fair will host experience-based spaces to visualize innovation.

The exhibition will offer show-cookings by starred chefs, the recreation of a hotel equipped with the latest innovations in interior design and technological applications, coffee tastings, talks, conferences and debates as well as a space dedicated to start-ups.

The event aims to present the latest trends in products, processes and services to professionals who wish to integrate innovations into their business to satisfy their increasingly connected customers in search of personalized experiences.

Hospitality, catering and hospitality professionals as well as interior designers and contract channel experts will have the opportunity to update their knowledge and be inspired by what Hostelco has designed , to unveil new technological and sustainable solutions that help optimize businesses. profitability while meeting customer demands.

Therefore, the fair will erect the Hostelco Live Hotel, with the recreation of different hotel spaces such as reception, gym and guest rooms in different styles, new architectural concepts and incorporating the latest technologies and connectivity. This will be the task of the Spanish Confederation of Hotels and Tourist Accommodation and its Hotel Technological Institute (CEHAT-ITH), the Oss Fitness brand and the design studios DyD Interiorismo, Estudio Contract, Carmela Martí, Cuesta Studio and Ingenia Studio.

The Hostelco Live Arena, on the other hand, will be the space where debates, conferences and presentations will be held by more than 80 restaurant and hospitality experts to address issues related to design, interiors, sustainability, new business concepts, customer experience and usage. disruptive technologies. The conference will be divided into more than 20 sessions with the collaboration of CEHAT-ITH; the Spanish hotel and catering industry, CEHE; consultancy Barra de Ideas and the Top Food & Beverage (F&B) Club, among others.

Similarly, coffee will be honored in a space dedicated to promoting the world of bars, restaurants and the Horeca sector. In addition to tastings and demonstrations on how to prepare and drink coffee, the space called “Hostelco Live Moments” will also include new food options and the latest trends in pastry, ice cream, baking and cocktails. , creating a “soft” and stimulating space. .

The show will also feature a Speakers Corner, which will serve as a meeting point for manufacturers, distributors and technical services. About thirty conferences will focus on equipment upgrades, maintenance processes, safety, regulations and certifications.

Hostelco and the Restaurama lounge at Alimentaria, a Spanish food and beverage fair, will share The Experience Live Gastronomy activities, with cooking shows, workshops and talks by Michelin-starred chefs who will prepare their recipes live and will give conferences on current gastronomy. trends and those destined to influence the future of cooking. The Experience will once again host the finals of major international competitions such as the Chef of the Year Competition and the Waiter of the Year Competition. It will also host a program of conferences, demonstrations and show cooking intended in particular for the catering industry.

Another jointly organized activity will be Food & Hospitality Startup Revolution, a space reserved for companies awarded by the 16 most innovative and disruptive startups in the sector. In addition to presenting their products and projects in this field, the selected companies will have the opportunity to participate in the ‘Food & Hospitality Startup Revolution Awards’ and win the award for the most innovative startup and the award for the most successful startup. . Thus, Alimentaria and Hostelco aim to support the most creative and innovative commercial initiatives, thus facilitating their visibility and their insertion in the market.

Hostelco will also host several events organized by some of its collaborating entities, such as the plenary meeting of the Spanish Confederation of Hotels and Tourist Accommodation, CEHAT; the executive committee of the Spanish hotel and catering industry, CEHE; the ordinary and extraordinary general assembly of the Coffee Cultural Forum; the ITH Board Meeting and the Club Top F&B Board Meeting. Hostelco, organized by Fira de Barcelona and the Spanish Federation of Associations of Manufacturers of Equipment for Hospitality, Collectives and Related Industries (FELAC), will be held from April 4 to 7, 2022 at the Gran Via site alongside from Alimentaria.
