Edinson Cavani, Anthony Martial, Ousmane Dembele

Manchester United are once again looking pedestrian and playing pragmatic as we are currently seeing another indifferent edition of the series against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Over 4/5 of the home league game against Wolves we are still goalless goals.
Maybe the January transfer window could be more interesting and exciting? Now let’s talk about the latest tales surrounding Edinson Cavani, Anthony Martial and more.
Watch United play like total shit again and fight pointlessly through another game with #Wolves makes me feel exactly like Grandpa Abe Simpson right now:

Let’s start with the latest news on El Matador, which has been linked with a move this January window.
Acting manager Ralf Rangnick desperately wants the 34-year-old Uruguayan to stay, telling media:
“We’ve had a few conversations over the past two weeks – probably the player I’ve spoken to the most. I told him from day one that he was a very important player. He is probably the only one who can play as an attacker with his back to goal and in front of goal.
“His professionalism, his work ethic is incredible and I told him I desperately wanted him to stay until the end of the season.
He also knows how much I appreciate and respect him, and that’s also why I played him from the start with Cristiano. [against Burnley].
“He knows I sure won’t let him go.” I would prefer to have another Edi on top of that, but for me it is clear that Edi has to stay. Regarding other players [leaving in the transfer window], yes, our workforce may be a bit big in numbers but we still have Covid, we have three competitions. “
Cavani, who has only made 10 appearances this season due to injuries and covid, is reportedly wanted by FC Barcelona.
Which then constitutes the perfect transition to the next topic, the potential exchange agreement between Barcelona and United.
It would be an unsuitable for unsuitable transaction, with Martial heading for Catalonia and Ousmane Dembele coming back the other way.
Martial would sign a six-month loan deal with Barca, while Dembele would sign a permanent contract at Old Trafford; potentially.
According to MARCA: “Dembele’s contract with Barcelona is due to expire in June, and the Camp Nou club have so far been unable to agree on an extension with the France international.”
Martial wanted out and talked about it publicly for a while, but apparently there just aren’t many takers.
