According to Mundo DeportivoEric Garcia took a photo at Manchester United in an interview with Catalan newspaper L’Esportiu as he prepares to leave rivals City for a return to Barcelona this summer.
The 20-year-old, who will return to Barcelona with a five-year contract as a free agent this summer, has been asked about comparisons to longtime Blaugrana center-back Gerard Pique.
Garcia showed a humble character by pouring cold water on similarities to Pique, his future teammate who “ got it all done ”.
Despite this, the youngster showed his comedic side by taking the opportunity to do a dig at Manchester United, explaining the only comparison between him and Pique.
Garcia insisted the only comparisons are that they both went through La Masia and then played for Manchester, but Eric points out that Pique was unfortunate enough to be in the squad ‘not so good ”.
The City man didn’t stop there as he added he had the chance to represent the ‘best team in Manchester’ which is a ‘shame’ for Pique.

Here’s what Garcia had to say about the comparisons, finding a way to fit into a jibe at United:
“I don’t give it any importance because we’re different footballers, right? “
âThe truth is, I am removing the problem. Gérard has achieved everything, he is one of the best central defenders in the world, he is more than recognized and I am 20 years old and I am practically starting my career.
“So the only possible comparison is this, that we are both from La Masia and we have lived in Manchester, but he played for the team which is not very good.
“I was luckier and I was able to play in the best team of Manchester. Too bad for him.
Garcia will have his final experience with Manchester City tonight as they face Chelsea in the Champions League final.
The promising center-back saw minimal action after it became clear he wouldn’t sign a new deal with the Citizens and instead get a dream comeback in Catalonia.
Garcia established himself as a defensive talent to watch with an impressive breakthrough in City’s first team last season, thanks to Pep Guardiola.
