IBTM has announced the first details of IBTM World 2022, which will focus on the theme of “cultural creation”.
Organizers said the event, which will take place at Fira de Barcelona from November 29 to December 1, will bring attendees together to discover how modern business challenges are creating opportunities in the industry.
IBTM World Events Director David Thompson said: “Commercial events are back to fill the void they left, but they have also stepped up to fill the new void that has emerged: the place where lives the corporate culture.
“This year, we’re looking at how the technology we use, the experiences we create, and the destinations we visit create limitless cultures for business and incredible potential for events and provide the opportunity to drive better business outcomes. “
IBTM World 2022 will include the introduction of IBTM Cultural Roadshows, designed to explore how destinations use their cultures to create event potential.
IBTM World’s knowledge program will focus on the central cultural theme of the event and will include session tracks on connections, business, careers, brands and experiences. IBTM Accelerate will showcase “Innovative Ideas” with a roster of speakers delivering short talks.
The event’s networking opportunities include networking hour on the show floor, club night and first day welcome reception with food, live music and dancing.
This year, the Corporate Buyer Program and the Association Program will take place the day before the official launch of the event, on November 28th.
