La Fira de Barcelona appoints N&M as service partner
In recent years, the Fira de Barcelona has grown into one of the most important trade fair venues in Europe. Leading trade fairs such as the Mobile World Congress, the MICE sector’s ibtm World or the Sónar festival for electronic music attract professionals from all over the world to the Catalan capital in northeastern Spain. More importantly for the professional audiovisual market, in June 2021, after moving from Amsterdam to Barcelona, Integrated System Europe (ISE) debuted at Fira de Barcelona as a hybrid event due to the Covid pandemic. -19.
In order to provide trade fair organizers and their customers with high performance technical support for safety critical systems such as suspension and rigging, the trade fair organization Fira de Barcelona has entered into a service partnership with the provider of German services Neumann & Müller Veranstaltungstechnik (N&M). This also covers the full range of technical equipment for corporate trade fair presentations as well as for all associated events, where exhibitors have at their disposal the entire portfolio of N & M’s conference technology services as well as high quality solutions for the deployment of video, lighting and audio. .
To ensure a fast and complete service, N&M has established an office in Barcelona; During the year 2021, the branch will be transformed into a legally autonomous company under Spanish law and will operate under the name of Neumann & Müller Iberia SL
Tobias Nitsch, responsible for N & M’s first exhibition site in Spain, explained: “In the future, our Barcelona branch will also have its own equipment storage facility, which will allow us to offer our customers first-class equipment solutions on short notice. “
With a team expected to grow to 10 employees by the end of the year, Nitsch wants to show trade show organizers the growth potential that can be harnessed in live communication using innovative equipment solutions – for example: stronger international alignment based on hybrid trade fair and conference formats; simultaneous interpretation via remote hubs; the creation of content with strong audience appeal and extended reality applications.
