Memphis Depay sends Netherlands back to victory over Montenegro
Barcelona star Memphis Depay continued his strong start to the 2021/22 season with two key goals in international service.
The former Manchester United striker took his first steps in Catalonia after his summer transfer from Lyon.
He has already scored two goals in his first three La Liga games and that hot streak has continued with the Netherlands.
Louis Van Gaal started his comeback as head coach of La Oranje with a 1-1 draw in Norway midweek before a Memphis-inspired effort secured him a 4-0 home victory over the Montenegro this evening.

A goal in either half for the 27-year-old put Van Gaal on course for a key Amsterdam victory as he made his way home from the penalty spot before the break.
However, his strike on time dispelled any doubts of a stumble for Van Gaal’s side, as Memphis buried their 30th goal for the national team.
