The first edition of the new route from France was again marked by the COVID 19 health crisis, which prevented the participation of many cyclists from around the world.

The The 2022 edition becomes a new opportunity, especially for European and North American participants, the usual audience in TRANSPYR CTE TO CTE.

The twelfth edition of the cycling adventure race will start again in the Atlantic Ocean in the picturesque town of Saint Jean de Luz in the department of Pyrénées Atlantiques, having as a stage according to the populations Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port even in the Basque Country, Oloron-Sainte-Marie, already in the Haut Béarn, to cross into the Hautes-Pyrénées department, stopping at the thermal spa of Bagnères-de-Bigorre.

After four almost complete stages on French territory, enters Spanish territory by the Val d’Aran stopping at Vielha, finally crossing towards the southern slope of the Pyrenees during the fifth stage which leads us to La Seu d’Urgell. Complete the challenge with two stages through the Pyrenees of Girona, Camprodon and the grand final arrival in the luminous city of Roses.

Side by side and from north to south of the Pyrenees. The tour, which started in 2021 with great satisfaction, can also be considered the most complete – and therefore the most powerful – version of a single mission, combining a route that crosses the whole of the Pyrenees from one ocean to another, with the added challenge of jumping from the northern slope to the southern slope of the mountain range halfway. A journey through the Pyrenees up and down, offering a wide immersion in its various natural and cultural landscapes.

This maximum expression of the magic of TRANSPYR COAST TO COAST has transformed into a test unanimously considered among the best in the world.
