United States in the News: Wells Fargo Appoints Private Bank Head
Wells Fargo & Company
Julie Caperton has been appointed to head Wells Fargo Private Bank, a division of Wealth & Investment Management (WIM).
This is in addition to Caperton’s current role as head of the Banking, Credit and Trust Center of Excellence for WIM.
Caperton will continue to report to Barry Sommers, Head of WIM.
She has worked for Wells Fargo and its predecessors for almost 20 years.
Axa Investment Managers (Axa IM)
The investment firm has appointed Florian Bezault as Head of the Americas and Regional CFO of the Americas.
Beatriz Barros de Lis has also been appointed head of Axa IM Core’s Americas client group.
RBC Wealth Management
Amanda Dolan has been promoted to Head of Wealth Manager Advisor Recruitment.
She has spent the last decade at RBC Wealth Management in a variety of roles, starting with a position in the Madison, Wisconsin branch before moving on to Operations.
Pension and Wealth Management Advisors (PWMA)
The firm hired David Serpa as co-chairman and managing partner.
Prior to joining the company, he held the position of Managing Director at Mentor Partners, where he led the M&A advisory / management practice while evaluating investment opportunities for the private equity division.
Trustee Trust International
The World Heritage Manager has appointed Brian Conboy as Director of Estates Administration and Trustee Adviser.
Conboy joined Fiduciary Trust International in July 2016 as Vice President and Estate Settlement Agent.
Carlos Arrizurieta has joined the company as a senior general manager based in Miami, Florida.
Prior to joining Northern Trust, he was Senior Vice President at Wells Fargo Private Bank and also held positions at Deutsche Bank and Citi Private Bank.
Financial advisers Bobby Conville Jr and Earl Smith have joined the firm in Ruston, Louisiana.
Together with Ruth Best, Senior Client Service Associate, the Advisors mark the first location of RJA’s Ruston office.
Conville and Smith are from Wells Fargo Advisors and operate as Conville, Smith and Associates Wealth Management by Raymond James.
The independent wealth management and investment firm has hired Janet Walker as its senior vice president and investment advisor.
Prior to Bailard, she spent 22 years at Wells Fargo, most recently in the San Francisco office of Abbot Downing, Wells Fargo’s ultra-high net worth boutique company.

Wealth Management Firm Acquires Lighthouse Wealth Management, an Independent Hybrid Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) Firm
Founded in 1992 by co-founding partners Thomas Kozlowski and Andrew Wilson, Lighthouse has eight financial advisers among its 13 employees.
The practice specializes in financial planning, wealth management and tax services for retired or near-retirement clients or those experiencing another life-changing event.
Upon closing, the practice will be called Team Lighthouse, and Kozlowski and Wilson will serve as senior vice presidents, financial advisors at Wealth Enhancement Group.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
