(MENAFN) According to the leader of the association, the strike faction of the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman will come under the order of NATO for the Neptune Strike exercise in the Mediterranean.
Jens Stoltenberg shared on Twitter “A strong sign of transatlantic unity” and wrote “NATO will always do what is necessary to protect and defend all Allies”.
Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said the exercise would start from Monday and run through Feb. 4.
Kirby added that the carrier battle group was going to be the focus of the exercise, which had been planned for a long time and said that in the exercise, synchronized activities such as NATO associates’ planned naval exercises, training against submarines and long-range assault training will be launched.
